Kodak Ektakrome 100 (35mm) Cross Processed

Here’s a more engaging and polished version, keeping a personal, film-photography tone: I’ve never been a big fan of radical experiments, but one book managed to pull me out of my comfort zone. "Film Is Not Dead" caught my eye with its beautifully wild examples of cross-processed film — vibrant colors, insanely rich blues, and heavy saturation that almost felt unreal. I can’t even remember which film stock the photographer used, but the images stayed with me. They were enough to convince me to try cross-processing myself, using one of the forgotten rolls hiding in my fridge. Since Kodak Ektachrome was never a favorite of mine, it became the perfect candidate for experimentation. The results? Moody, dark, and — to my eye — far from pleasant. Still, I’m sure some people will find something to love in them. As a photographer drawn to fine-art aesthetics, bright tones, and soft pastel colors, I have to admit: this process simply isn’t for me.
